Guided by his passion
Dr. Pérez completed his undergraduate medical studies at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá. It was there that his tireless interest in plastic surgery was awakened after attending various facial reconstruction procedures as a student.
Once he finished his medical studies, he had the honor of entering postgraduate studies at the prestigious plastic surgery program of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. It was there that he trained as a comprehensive plastic surgeon, both in the reconstructive and aesthetic areas, and had the honor of being elected chief resident of the plastic surgery service due to his academic merits and surgical performance.
Subsequently, he traveled to the United States where he completed a Fellow observer in facial aesthetic surgery at two of the most prestigious institutions in the field, such as The University of Illinois and The Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital in New York.
30 years ago, Dr. Pérez established his practice in the city of Bogotá and since then he has maintained a permanent desire to innovate and update himself on the most advanced surgical techniques and technologies available. This has led him to visit important plastic surgery centers in various parts of the world, sharing and developing many of his ideas with plastic surgeons of the highest level.

His Social Commitment
In addition to being a renowned facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Pérez has a deep commitment to social work. As a member of the Milwaukee Medical Mission, an organization of the Medical College of Wisconsin, he actively participates in surgical missions in Colombia where, together with a team of top-level specialists, they provide reconstructive plastic surgeries to low-income patients.
This initiative allows people with congenital malformations, burn sequelae, and other conditions to access surgical treatments that significantly improve their quality of life. For Dr. Pérez, plastic surgery is not only an art but also a tool to restore confidence, functionality, and hope to those who need it most.
