BRAZILIAN BUTTOCK LIFT
BRAZILIAN BUTTOCK LIFT
This procedure improves the aesthetics of the buttocks, increasing their volume and improving their shape. It is performed by transferring fat collected from the same patient.
DETAILS OF DR. PEREZ'S TECHNIQUE
- The fat is obtained from different areas of the body, by using thin cannulas that allow the fat to be taken in small particles, which are ideal to perform the lipotransfer.
- Prior to being injected into the buttocks, the fat is purified via centrifugation and filtration processes, in order to ensure that the highest possible percentage of the fat survives once it is transferred.
- Dr. Perez performs the injection of the purified fat into the same fat of the buttocks. This makes the procedure much safer for the patient, as it has been proven that injecting fat into the deeper planes of the muscle, has the potential risk of producing fat thrombosis, which migrate to the heart or lungs, putting the patient's life at risk.
OUR EXCELLENT RESULTS
This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts approximately 1 hour.
Rest: We recommend alternating the face up, face down and sideways positions during the first 3 days, in order to avoid prolonged pressure on the buttocks area.
Walking: The patient should start walking the day after the surgery.
Physical Activity: During the first week, we recommend only walking. Afterwards, other physical activities can be resumed.
Swelling of the buttocks is normal, especially during the first 2 weeks.
Dr. Perez recommends the use of a small inflatable cushion while sitting, in order to reduce the pressure exerted on the fat injected in the buttocks.
This depends on several factors such as:
- The amount of fat that has been obtained and is ready to be transferred to the buttocks.
- According to the shape and volume of the buttocks, an estimate is made beforehand of the amount of fat that needs to be injected, in order to achieve the desired effect.
- The patient’s expectations and Dr. Perez’s recommendation, after the assessment, are relevant when deciding what volume of fat needs to be transferred.
Developments in fat collection, purification and transfer techniques in recent years, have led to much more effective results, allowing a much higher percentage of the injected fat to survive in the long term.
