GLUTEOPLASTY WITH IMPLANTS
GLUTEOPLASTY WITH IMPLANTS
Today, more and more patients are seeking surgery because of a desire to improve the size and shape of their gluteus. This is why Dr. Perez performs this surgery with increasing regularity, achieving very aesthetic and predictable results.
GLUTEOPLASTY CANDIDATES
- Low projection and volume of the gluteus.
- Asymmetries of the gluteus.
DETAILS OF DR PEREZ'S TECHNIQUE
- For Dr. Perez, it is of great importance to perform an adequate preoperative assessment, in order to determine the type of implant and its volume, according to the physical characteristics and expectations of the patient.
- Dr. Perez usually performs the retro muscular technique, in which the implant is completely covered by the gluteus maximus muscle. This allows for a completely natural result, and prevents the implant from becoming visible or shifting with the patient's movements.
- In many of his patients, Dr. Perez complements the placement of gluteal implants with fat transfer to some areas of the gluteus that may need it, in order to achieve a rounder and more attractive shape of the gluteus, as well as to improve asymmetries that would become evident.
- Liposuction of the waist is also routinely performed, in order to achieve a more accentuated curvature of the waist and a better enhancement of the gluteus.
OUR EXCELLENT RESULTS
This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts approximately 2 hours.
Rest: Dr. Perez recommends maintaining a semi-sitting position at about 30 degrees of inclination, and with the knees slightly bent, by using a pillow under them, since this allows a better recovery and less discomfort for the patient. This position can be alternated by lying on your side or face down, according to what provides greater comfort.
Walking: We recommend walking as soon as possible, starting the day after the surgery.
Physical Activity: Physical exercise or strong physical activity is not recommended, as this may trigger pain or jeopardize the integrity of the surgical wound.
Diet: A bland diet is recommended during the first days after surgery.
Implants usually do not need to be replaced, unless there is any suspicion of a rupture of the implants or capsular contracture.
In general terms, there are no restrictions to physical activities, except during the first 2 months, where we do not recommend doing any physical activity that puts stress on the gluteal muscles, due to the risk of rupture of the sutures placed in the gluteal muscles.
