STEM CELL LIPOFILLING
STEM CELL LIPOFILLING
To reverse the signs of facial aging and restore the volume and freshness of your face, stem cell injection is an excellent and reliable alternative that Dr. Perez puts at your disposal.
When referring to stem cells, many people will immediately think of cells from the umbilical cord or bone marrow. It is now possible to obtain stem cells from our own body fat.
That is why Dr. Perez has implemented this within his facial rejuvenation techniques. Stem cell lipofilling is a procedure in which the stem cells are used after ultra-purifying the fat.

For Dr. Perez it is very important, not only to elevate and suspend the facial soft tissues that have dropped, but also to reestablish an adequate facial volume, which provides a more youthful and attractive appearance.

STEM CELL LIPOFILLING CANDIDATES
- Patients who, as a result of the facial aging process, have lost volume in some areas of the face, causing an aged and unattractive appearance.
- Some young patients, generally between the ages of 20 and 40, may, for hereditary reasons, have volume loss in certain areas such as the furrow of the bags under the eyes.
- Young patients who for aesthetic reasons wish to obtain more volume in some areas of the face, such as the cheekbones, lips or chin.
- It is an excellent option in patients who suffer from deformities or loss of volume, resulting from accidents or previous poorly performed surgeries.
ADVANTAGES OF LIPOFILLING
- Lipofilling with ultra-purified fat cells obtained from the patient, removes the possibility of rejection or allergic reactions, which may occur with synthetic filler products.
- The amount of fat cells that are necessary, can be used depending on each individual case, since they are obtained from the patient's own fat deposits.
- Since Lipofilling injects a good amount of stem cells, the results of the procedure are more stable and lasting than with synthetic fillers.
- In addition to providing fat cells and stem cells, Lipofilling involves growth factors which are substances that induce the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.
TYPES OF LIPOFILLING USED BY DR. PEREZ
MICROFAT
This technique uses fat that has been obtained using very thin cannulas and then ultra-purified. It is used for filling facial areas that have lost volume, and to fill in deep furrows and expression lines, such as the nasolabial or frown lines between the eyebrows.
NANOFAT
With this procedure, stem cells and growth factors are injected into the dermis. This procedure is performed with very thin needles and is very useful for the improvement of fine expression lines, such as lips, crow’s feet, chin, neck, acne scars and as a skin revitalizer in different areas of the face.
DETAILS OF DR. PEREZ'S TECHNIQUE
- The first step is to collect the fat from a fat deposit, usually in the abdomen or crotch, this is performed with the use of very thin cannulas.
- In order to ultra-purify the collected fat, Dr. Perez submits it to several procedures such as centrifugation, filtration and decantation.
- Depending on whether MicroFat or NanoFat is needed, further procedures are carried out.
- Finally, the lipoinjection is performed in the previously selected areas of the face, for which microcannulas or very thin needles are used.
ANESTHESIA
The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and sedation.
HOW LONG DOES THE INJECTED FAT LAST?
Thanks to advances in the proper collection and subsequent injection of stem cells, such cells survive over the long term. Dr. Perez has even noted that the initial result can continue to improve over the months.
CAN THE PROCEDURE BE REPEATED?
Yes, it can be repeated and is most recommended after one year, when the injected stem cells have already established themselves and have generated new blood circulation around them.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE THE RESULTS?
It is a gradual process, since the injected stem cells reproduce and thus stimulate the skin, therefore the effect can be noticed as an improvement in the months following the procedure.
