PEXY - BREAST LIFT
PEXY - BREAST LIFT
A high percentage of patients have varying degrees of sagging and drooping of the breasts as a result of:
- Pregnancy and lactation.
- Weight loss for various reasons.
- Skin laxity and sagging over the years.
CANDIDATES FOR BREAST LIFT
- Patients with sagging breasts and with an appropriate size or even somewhat larger than normal, due to sufficient tissue in the mammary gland.
- Patients who are candidates for a Pexy - Breast Lift, in which all the glandular tissue present is used and used to shape and sculpt the breasts.
- Patients who usually have significant breast sagging, along with little glandular tissue with loose and excessive skin. In these cases, in addition to performing the Pexy - Breast Lift, breast implants must be implanted, in order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing volume and shape that meets the patient's expectations.
DETAILS OF DR. PEREZ'S TECHNIQUE
- In patients who are candidates for Pexy - Lift without implants, Dr. Perez recommends the vertical technique, which offers several advantages, such as: a smaller incision and a well projected shape of the breasts.
- If the breasts are severely sagging, and skin laxity and excess are very noticeable, Dr. Perez's preferred option is the inverted T technique.
- Some patients undergo Pexy - Breast Lift with implants, the implants are placed directly behind the pectoralis muscle, in order to prevent sagging of the breasts. The following step is the Pexy - Lift of the gland.

LEVANTAMIENTO DE SENOS SIN IMPLANTE
OUR EXCELLENT RESULTS
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between 2 to 3 hours.
Inflammation: It is normal to have noticeable postoperative swelling during the first 7 days. Breast Support: The permanent use of a postoperative bra is essential, in order to provide comfort and support for the breasts. Activity: Avoid strenuous physical activities during the first 10 days. Disability: Most patients will be able to start working after the 3rd postoperative day. Rest: We recommend sleeping and remaining in a semi-sitting position at about 30 degrees of inclination, in order to help the de-inflammatory process.
The long-term outcome of this procedure is good, but it is dependent on factors, such as skin quality, breast volume and the occurrence of events such as pregnancies or significant weight loss. Dr. Perez recommends the use of breast support, both day and night, in order to help counteract the effect of gravity on the breasts.
A significant percentage of patients who consult Dr. Perez have a greater or lesser degree of breast asymmetry. One of the objectives to be achieved with the Pexy – Breast Lift procedure, is to achieve the greatest symmetry possible.
Although it is one of the possible risks during a breast surgery, Dr. Perez performs techniques that fully preserve the sensitivity, especially in the areola and the nipple. Although it is normal that, during the first few weeks after surgery, there is some degree of decreased sensitivity.
The nipples are not removed, they are moved up to their ideal position by bringing them higher.
